January 5, 2010 Board Meeting Agenda Item #31 Title APPROVAL OF EXPULSION CASE NO. 10-097 Description The student listed in Expulsion Case No. 10-097, is in violation of an accepted Deferred Expulsion Settlement Agreement for districted school placement.  On October 13, 2009, the student listed in Expulsion Case No. 10-097, violated School Board Policy 5.34, Disruptive Behaviors to School Setting.  It is the recommendation of the Superintendent that the student be expelled from the Sarasota Schools until June 4, 2010. Recommendation That in accordance with provisions of Sections 1006.07(1)(a)(b), Florida Statutes and School Board Policy 5.34, the holding of a hearing having been waived by the student/parent, the recommendation as specified in Expulsion Case No. 10-097, to expel the student referenced therein from the Sarasota County Schools, be approved effective immediately for the remainder of the 2009-2010 academic year.
