APPROVAL OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN RESEARCH FOR BETTER TEACHING, INC. AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA
Description
In partnership with the district, Research for Better Teaching, Inc. will provide a comprehensive training program focused on Jon Saphier's work on High Expectations Teaching. One hundred eighty-two (182) school leaders will participate in a series of workshops designed to help them connect teacher behavior and decision-making with impact on student learning, give teachers evidence-based feedback that builds their capacity as high-expertise teachers, and use multiple data sources to assess growth opportunities. Grant funds will be used to cover the costs of the training program.
Recommendation
That the agreement between Research for Better Teaching, Inc. and the School Board of Sarasota, County, Florida, be approved as presented.
