June 19, 2007 Board Meeting Agenda Item #47 Title EXPULSION CASE NO. 07-404 Description On May 9, 2007, the student listed in Expulsion Case No. 07-404, violated School Board Policy 5.321(1)(b), Possession of Weapon (knife).  It is the recommendation of the Superintendent that the student be expelled from the Sarasota County Schools until May 23, 2008 of the 2007-2008 academic year. Recommendation That in accordance with provisions of Sections 1006.07(1)(a)(b), Florida Statutes and School Board Policy 5.34, and the holding of a hearing having been waived by the student/parent, the recommendation as specified in Expulsion Case 07-404, to expel the student referenced therein from the Sarasota County Schools be approved effective immediately for the summer of 2007 until May 23, 2008 of the 2007-2008 academic year.
