Bright Futures Scholarship In 1997, the Florida Legislature created the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program and declared it to be the first education program funded each year from the Florida Lottery. This scholarship rewards students for their academic achievements during high school by providing funding for them to pursue further educational and career goals. CSS Profile PROFILE is a financial aid application service of the College Board - a national, 100-year-old, not-for-profit membership association. Many of the member colleges, universities, graduate and professional schools, and scholarship programs use the information collected on PROFILE to help them award nonfederal student aid funds. has a great deal of State of Florida information on Scholarships The Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) provides access to grants, scholarships and loans. The administration of these financial assistance programs rests on either the State Programs for grants, scholarships, and some Florida State loans, or on the guaranty agency for the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP).
